National Bank of Greece SA, the country’s biggest lender, may appoint George Zanias, who is serving as caretaker finance minister, as chairman, state-run Athens News Agency reported, citing unidentified government sources.

Alexandros Tourkolias will be named chief executive officer after Apostolos Tamvakakis, who is expected to step down today, submits his resignation, the newswire said.
