Italy Leads Germany 2-0 After 65 Minutes in Euro 2012 Semifinal

Italy leads Germany 2-0 after 65 minutes in their semifinal at soccer’s European Championship on two goals from Mario Balotelli.

The Manchester City striker headed Italy into a 20th minute lead in Warsaw, then fired in the second goal 16 minutes later.

The winner of the match will play defending champion Spain in the July 1 final.

Germany, the record three-time champion, is aiming to win the tournament for a first time since 1996. Italy won the title in 1968.
