Persian Gulf Stocks: Al-Madina for Finance and Dana Gas Moved

Dubai’s benchmark DFM General Index (DFMGI) retreated 0.3 percent to 1,456.32 at the 2 p.m. close in the emirate, the lowest level since June 6. The measure is up 7.6 percent this year. Qatar’s QE Index (DSM) was little changed.

The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Al-Madina for Finance and Investment Co. SAKC (ALMADINA KK) fell 5.3 percent to 45 fils, the lowest since Jan. 9. The Kuwaiti Islamic investment company said chief executive officer Mamdouh Al Sherbiny resigned.

Dana Gas PJSC (DANA) gained 2.7 percent, the first advance since June 20, to 38 fils. The fuel producer with $1 billion in Islamic bonds maturing in October said it resumed partial production at its Khor Mor liquefied petroleum gas plant in the Kurdish region of Iraq after a fire.
