Romania Shuts Down Cernavoda Unit 1 Reactor, Mediafax Reports

Romania shut the unit 1 reactor at the Cernavoda nuclear plant today after a sensor detected a malfunction, Mediafax reported, citing unidentified people from the energy market.

Nuclearelectrica SA, the operator of the plant, restarted the reactor on June 13 after carrying out planned maintenance works, according to the Bucharest-based news service.
