Ethiopia Court Sentences UN Worker to Prison Term in Terror Case

Ethiopia’s Federal High Court sentenced a United Nations security officer to jail after convicting him of violating anti-terrorism laws for communicating with a leader of a banned rebel group.

Abdirahman Sheikh Hassan was imprisoned for 7 years and 8 months for passing information to the Ogaden National Liberation Front, Judge Mulugeta Kidane said today in court in the capital, Addis Ababa.
