Egypt’s state-run Food Industries Holding Co. bought 16,000 metric tons of sunflower oil and 15,400 tons of soybean oil at a tender today, Abdel Sattar Soliman, the company’s vice chairman, said by phone from Cairo.
The company, also known as FIHC, purchased the sunflower oil at $1,124.44 a ton from Quadra, Soliman said. It bought 8,400 tons of the soybean oil from Wataneya and 7,000 tons from Alex Seeds, both quantities at 6,925 Egyptian pounds ($1,143) a ton, Soliman said.
