China’s Diesel Imports Rise 56% in May; LNG Purchases Gain 18%

China’s diesel imports were 196,469 metric tons in May, up 56 percent from a year earlier, while gasoline exports were at 132,817 tons, the General Administration of Customs said in an e-mailed statement today.

Purchases of liquefied natural gas were at 1.14 million tons, up 18 percent, and coal imports, including lignite, rose 62 percent to 26.17 million tons, it said.
