MTN Group Ltd., Africa’s biggest mobile-phone company, named Mazen Mroué as chief executive officer of its Ugandan unit.

Mroué, formerly chief information officer for MTN Ghana Ltd., replaces Themba Khumalo, who was named as the group’s operations executive for 13 countries including Afghanistan, Yemen, Botswana, Zambia, Swaziland and Sudan, MTN Uganda said today by e-mail from Kampala, the capital.
