The Czech Republic’s PX (PX) stock index rose 0.7 percent to 882.1 by 12:19 in Prague, paring its weekly loss to 0.4 percent.

Erste Group Bank AG (EBS) of Austria added 0.6 percent to 359 koruna and Vienna Insurance Group AG (VIG) climbed 4.1 percent to 755 koruna, a month high. Financial stocks were among the best performers in Europe on optimism central banks will step up economic stimulus.

New World Resources Plc (NWR) , the biggest Czech coking- coal producer, rose 4.6 percent to 102.51 koruna. Commodities rallied, with Europe’s benchmark coal derivatives increasing 0.9 percent to $97 a metric ton in the Netherlands.
