Ecuadorean Banks Granted $1.72 Billion in New Loans Last Month

Ecuador’s banks and financial institutions, excluding government-owned lenders, granted $1.72 billion in new loans in May, a 2.4 percent reduction from the previous month, the central bank said in a report on its website.
