Qatar’s consumer price index rose 1.1 percent in May from a year earlier, the statistics agency said today.
The prices of entertainment, recreation and culture gained 7.3 percent, according to an e-mailed release from the statistics authority. The sub-index for furniture, textiles and home appliances rose 6.2 percent.
The increases were offset by a 6 percent drop in rent, fuel and energy, according to the release.
