Comcast’s NBC Said to Gain $1.8 Billion in Ad Commitments

Comcast Corp. (CMCSA)’s NBC broadcast network collected about $1.8 billion in advertising commitments for the television season starting in September, said a person with knowledge of the situation.

NBC received $100 million more in orders than a year ago after negotiating rate increases of 6 percent to 7 percent on about 78 percent of its advertising inventory, said the person, who wasn’t authorized to talk publicly.
