Tim Participacoes SA (TIMP3) won the third auction of licenses for 4G technology in Brazil and wireless frequencies in the country’s rural areas, Brazil’s telecommunications regulator, known as Anatel, said.

The company agreed to pay 340 million reais, or 7.9 percent more than the minimum price of 315 million reais, according to Anatel.

Tim will have obligations in the states of Parana, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Espirito Santo for rural frequencies, Anatel said.
