Imerys SA (NK), Axa Private Equity, PAI Partners and Astorg are in the second round of bidding for Materis SA’s aluminates unit Kerneos, Les Echos reported, without citing anyone.

Kerneos may fetch around 800 million euros ($999 million), or about 10 times earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, the newspaper said.

Materis is a building-materials supplier owned by private- equity firm Wendel. Aluminates are used in cement.
