Ukrainian multimedia company UMH Group signed a licensing agreement with Conde Nast Publications Inc. to publish Vogue magazine in Ukraine within a year.

“The launch of the legendary Vogue brand in Ukraine will become a significant event for the entire luxury market,” United Media President Boris Lozhkin said in a statement on the company’s website today.

Conde Nast is a unit of Samuel Irving Newhouse Jr.’s Advance Publications Inc., which publishes 141 magazines in the U.S. and globally, including Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and Architectural Digest.

UMH Group operates websites, radio stations, publishers and printing businesses in Ukraine and Russia. It sold a 15 percent stake as global depositary receipts in Frankfurt in 2008 to finance its expansion.
