Roche Holding AG (ROG) will not make a new purchase offer for Illumina Inc. (ILMN), Der Sonntag reported, citing an interview with Chief Executive Officer Severin Schwan.

Roche is focusing mostly on small and medium-sized acquisitions, Schwan told the newspaper. He also said he wouldn’t rule out acquisitions the size of Illumina if opportunities arise, the newspaper said.
