Alan Dzagoev scored a goal in each half as Russia beat the Czech Republic 4-1 to lead Group A on the opening day of soccer’s European Championship.
Roman Shirokov and Roman Pavlyuchenko got the other goals for the Russians in Wroclaw, Poland. Vaclav Pilar scored for the Czechs. In the earlier Group A game, co-host Poland and Greece tied 1-1 in Warsaw.
