Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Philippine (PASHR) trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Manila.
The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PCOMP) fell 0.6 percent to 4,994.07. The gauge declined 1.4 percent this week, its first drop in three weeks.
Miners: Benguet Corp. (BC) class-A shares (BC PM) lost 5.7 percent to 21.65 pesos, the lowest close since Oct. 4. It led a decline among Philippine metal producers as gold headed for a weekly drop. Philex Mining Corp. (PX) declined 1 percent to 23.70 pesos, the sharpest loss in four days.
Atlas Consolidated Mining & Development Corp. (AT) fell 1.7 percent to 17.46 pesos, the lowest close since Feb. 14. The miner said its copper unit had shipped $33.7 million worth of the metal in May, lower than the $34.7 million shipped in April.
