Vale SA (VALE3), Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA and Cia. Siderurgica Nacional SA (CSNA3) won court injunctions to avert a combined 1.5 billion reais ($741.7 million) of annual mining taxes in two Brazilian states, O Globo reported.

Usiminas and CSN were granted injunctions in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, while Vale won a ruling in the northern Para state, the Rio de Janeiro-based newspaper said.

State governments may appeal the decisions, O Globo said.
