Thailand Stocks: PTT, PTT Exploration, Sri Trang, Thai Rubber

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 10:09 a.m. in Bangkok.

The SET Index (SET) rose 1.3 percent to 1,132.09, its second day of gains.

Oil companies: PTT Pcl (PTT) , Thailand’s largest energy company, gained 1 percent to 311 baht. PTT Exploration & Production Pcl (PTTEP TB), the nation’s only publicly traded oil explorer, advanced 1.9 percent to 160.5 baht.

Crude oil gained for a fourth day, climbing as much as 73 cents to $85.75 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Rubber producers: Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA) , the country’s largest rubber producer, increased 2.1 percent to 14.5 baht. Thai Rubber Latex Corp. (Thailand) Pcl (TRUBB) climbed 1.3 percent to 3.08 baht. Rubber futures advanced as much as 4.2 percent in Tokyo.
