Polish Stocks: KGHM Polska Miedz, Bank Pekao, PKO Are Active

Poland’s WIG20 Index (WIG20) advanced 3.5 percent, the biggest daily gain in six months, to 2,110.91, at the 5:30 p.m. in Warsaw.

The following are among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.

KGHM Polska Miedz SA (KGH) , the copper producer with the biggest European mine output, climbed 3.5 percent to 130.4 zloty, the most in two months as the metal rallied.

Bank Pekao SA (PEO) : Poland’s second-biggest lender posted the biggest single-day gain since Nov. 30 and PKO Bank Polski SA (PKO) , the country’s largest lender, gained the most since Dec. 5 as stocks rose worldwide on speculation European policy makers will act to spur economic growth. Bank Pekao shares rose 6.8 percent to 139 zloty and PKO Bank Polski climbed 4.8 percent to 32.70 zloty.
