Morgan Stanley (MS:US) opened a desk to trade fixed-income in Toronto including Canadian government bonds, futures and interest-rate swaps, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News. Mary Claire Delaney, a spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley, confirmed the contents of the memo.
Kim Mohammed, who previously worked at TD Securities and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in Toronto, was hired to run the new trading desk, according to the memo.
