Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended June 1 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 538.5 billion yen ($6.8 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 205.2 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 72.5 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 816.2 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 1023 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 74.7 billion yen in stocks, and bought 474.6 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 1422.9 billion yen.
