Yen Weakens After Japan’s Azumi Speaks With G7 Leaders

The yen weakened after Japanese Finance Minister Jun Azumi said that Group of Seven nations will co-operate in relation to extreme currency moves. The currency traded at 78.70 per dollar as of 22:20 p.m. in Tokyo, from 78.26 per dollar as of 21:30 p.m. Azumi spoke after a G7 conference call.
