Peru Stocks: Banco Continental, Maple, Relapasa, Rio Alto

The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close of trade.

The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose 0.4 percent to 20,655.57. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 0.2 percent to 2,651.71.

Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, rose 1.9 percent to $1.08 after natural gas advanced for a second session in New York.

Refineria la Pampilla SA (RELAPAC1 PE), a unit of Repsol YPF SA known as Relapasa, gained 1.5 percent to 66 centimos.

BBVA Banco Continental SA (CONTINC1) (CONTINC1 PE), the local unit of Spain’s Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA, climbed 1 percent to 5.87 soles after stocks advanced in Europe and the U.S., said Leoncio Altamirano, a trader at Lima-based Juan Magot y Asociados SAB.

Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a Canadian gold miner, rose 1.1 percent to $4.45 after gold rebounded in New York.
