The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the market close.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell 1.4 percent to 20,700.68. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 1.1 percent to 2,651.24.
Cia. Minera Milpo (MILPOC1) (MILPOC1 PE), a lead producer controlled by Sao Paulo-based Votorantim Metais Ltda., slumped 3.2 percent to 4.23 soles after the metal declined in London, said Fernando Romero, chairman of Lima-based investment fund NF&C Inversiones SA.
Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1) (VOLCABC1 PE), Peru’s largest zinc and lead producer, fell 2.9 percent to 2.99 soles.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian exploration company, dropped 3 percent to 64 cents after copper fell for a third session in New York.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, slid 2.8 percent to 69 cents.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a Canadian gold mining company, jumped 5.1 percent to $4.30, a four-week high, after gold gained the most since August in New York.
