John Edwards Judge Declares Mistrial in Campaign Payment Case

The judge in John Edwards's federal criminal trial for campaign-finance violations declared a mistrial after the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict on all but one count. They found the former U.S. senator not guilty of a single count of receiving illegal contributions.
