Safra Corretora Cuts Brazil 2012 GDP Estimate to 2.6%

Safra Corretora reduced its estimate for Brazil’s gross domestic product expansion this year to 2.6 percent from 2.9 percent previously, according to an e-mailed report signed by strategist Marcelo Portilho.

The Sao Paulo-based brokerage also cut its forecast for inflation in 2012 to 4.9 percent from 5.2 percent, Portilho said in the report.
