Polish Stocks: KGHM, PGE Power Utility Shares Move in Warsaw

Poland’s WIG20 Index (WIG20) rose 0.8 percent to 2,052.45 at 11:16 a.m. in Warsaw, advancing for a second day.

The following are among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.

KGHM Polska Miedz SA (KGH) , the country’s sole copper and silver producer, climbed 1.3 percent to 119.7 zloty, rising the most in a week on a closing basis as the two metals advanced after Greek opinion polls showed greater support for pro-bailout parties.

PGE SA (PGE) , the nation’s largest electricity producer, surged 2.2 percent to 17.53 zloty, gaining the most in more than two weeks after the company said it has many potential bidders for a stake in its power plant project.
