CSU’s Michelbach Calls for Temporary Halt to Greek Aid Payments

Europe should implement a temporary stop to aid for Greece, said Hans Michelbach, ranking member in the German parliament’s finance committee for Chancellor Angela Merkel’s caucus partner the Christian Social Union.

Greek political developments leave in “serious doubt” whether the country will fulfill promised austerity measures, Michelbach said in an e-mailed statement today.
