Chilean Stocks: Cap SA and Banco Santander Chile Were Active

The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close in Santiago.

The Ipsa index gained 0.1 percent to 4,260.62. The MSCI Chile index rose 0.5 percent to 2,283.18.

CAP SA (CAP CC), Chile’s biggest steel and iron-ore producer, declined 1 percent. Daily rates for the largest commodity carriers fell for a seventh session on a dearth of bookings to ship iron ore, according to Freight Investor Services Ltd.

Banco Santander Chile {BSAN CC), the country’s biggest bank by market value, fell 1.1 percent as shares in its controlling shareholder, Banco Santander SA, slid 3.2 percent.
