SPD Won’t Back Fiscal Pact Without Transaction Tax, Spiegel Says

The German opposition Social Democrats won’t vote to ratify Europe’s fiscal compact without the addition of a financial transaction tax and growth-friendly measures, Der Spiegel reported, citing an interview with leader Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
