OTP Bank Rises Second Day, Heads for First Weekly Gain in May

May 25, 2012

OTP Bank Nyrt. (OTP), Hungary’s largest lender, gained for a second day, heading for its first weekly advance this month.

The shares increased 3.2 percent to 3,522 forint by 12:07 p.m. in Budapest. A close at that level would mean a 2.8 percent five-day increase. The benchmark BUX stock index rose 1.7 percent for a weekly gain of 0.7 percent.

European stocks rallied after Italy’s Prime Minister Mario Monti said that most European Union leaders support joint bonds for the euro area.
