Three investor groups are interested in acquiring a majority stake in Cyprus Airways Ltd. (CAIR), the island’s state-run airline, Stockwatch reported today, citing George Mavrocostas, the carrier’s chairman and chief executive.
They include Canada’s Triple Five, Lebanon’s Middle East Airlines and Israel’s CAL Cargo Airlines Ltd, the financial web site said, citing Andreas Pieridis, president of Cyprus Airlines’ Synyka labor union.
