French Bonds Rise; Five-Year Yield Drops to Record-Low 1.285%

French government bonds advanced, pushing the five-year yield down to the lowest on record.

The five-year rate dropped nine basis points, or 0.09 percentage point, to 1.285 percent as of 7:52 a.m. London time, the lowest since Bloomberg began tracking the data in 1990.

The nation’s 10-year yield fell nine basis points to 2.45 percent, while the 30-year bond yield slid six basis points to 3.14 percent.
