Russia’s Slavneft Sells 51.9% Stake in Mendeleev Oil Refinery

OAO Slavneft, jointly owned by OAO Gazprom Neft and BP Plc (BP/)’s Russian venture, sold a 51.9 percent stake in the Yaroslavl-based Mendeleev refinery to ZAO Neftgazsbyt, the company said today in a statement.

Slavneft’s board of directors decided in 2007 to sell the refinery, which can process of 500,000 metric tons of crude a year, or 10,000 barrels a day, according to the statement.
