Mali’s Interim President Traore Injured During Protests, AP Says

The interim president of Mali was hospitalized with a head injury after protesters broke into his office in Bamako, the capital, the Associated Press reported, citing witnesses.

Thousands of people protested an agreement brokered yesterday under which Dioncounda Traore’s mandate was extended by 12 months, according to the AP.
