Singapore Equities: ASL Marine, Singapore Air, Wilmar

Singapore’s Straits Times Index (FSSTI) fell 0.2 percent to 2,773.70 as of 10:28 a.m. local time, with eight shares dropping for every five that gained.

The following were among the most active shares in the market. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names.

Golden Agri-Resources Ltd. (GGR) , the largest grower of oil palms in Indonesia, increased 0.8 percent to 64 Singapore cents after crude palm-oil futures for August delivery gained for a second day in Kuala Lumpur.

GP Batteries International Ltd. (GP) , rose 0.5 percent to 99.5 Singapore cents. GP Battery Technology Ltd., a wholly- owned unit of the battery company, will buy the remaining 20 percent stake in GP Batteries Europe BV from the existing minority shareholders, according to a statement.

Tiger Airways Holdings Ltd. (TGR) , an international airline operator, lost 2.3 percent to 62.5 Singapore cents after reporting a fourth-quarter loss of S$16.4 million from a S$1.4 million profit a year earlier.
