Top-Seeded Loyola Defeats Denver 10-9 in NCAA Lacrosse Playoffs

Eric Lusby scored five goals to lead the top-seeded Loyola University Maryland to a 10-9 victory over the University of Denver in the quarterfinals of the men’s college lacrosse championship.

The Greyhounds advance to the semifinals to meet fourth- seeded Notre Dame or No. 5 seed Virginia who play tomorrow in their quarterfinal.

In today’s other quarterfinal, Maryland upset second-seeded Johns Hopkins 11-5. The Terps will play No. 3 seed Duke or Colgate who play tomorrow in their National Collegiate Athletic Association match.
