Monti Plans Europe Guarantee on Accounts, Corriere Says

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti proposed a European system to guarantee bank accounts in the region, Italian daily Corriere della Sera reported, without saying where it got the information.

Monti, supported by the European Central Bank and U.S. President Barack Obama, brought his plan to the leaders of the Group of Eight nations at the Camp David summit that starts today, the Italian newspaper said.
