German Chancellor Angela Merkel plans to meet next week with her fellow coalition-party leaders to discuss policy, Bild newspaper reported, citing unidentified officials.
Merkel aims to meet with Horst Seehofer, chairman of the Christian Social Union, the Bavarian sister party to her Christian Democratic Union, and Economy Minister Philipp Roesler, who heads the Free Democratic Party, to address policies such as child-care subsidies and minimum wages, the newspaper said. The meeting will probably be held on May 22 or May 24, it said.
