The judge presiding over Rajat Gupta’s trial for insider trading said he’s inclined to let prosecutors introduce a secretly recorded July 2008 phone call.

On the call, Gupta discloses to Galleon Group co-founder Raj Rajaratnam details of a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) board meeting about the bank acquiring a commercial bank or American International Group Inc. (AIG) U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff in Manhattan said that he will hear arguments from both sides before making a final ruling.
