May 16, 2012

Bank of America Corp. (BAC:US) hired Ray Wood from Credit Suisse Group AG to head its U.S. power and energy investment banking group, according to a company memo.

Wood will report to Laurie Coben and Julian Mylchreest, global co-heads for energy and power, the two said in an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News. Wood held the same position at Credit Suisse.

Gavin Wolfe and Jason Satsky, also from Credit Suisse, will join the Charlotte, North Carolina-based bank as managing directors reporting to Wood. All three will be based in New York, the memo said.

John Yiannacopoulos, a spokesman at Bank of America, confirmed the contents of the memo. The Wall Street Journal reported the hirings earlier.
