Ukraine’s Grain Exports Fell 24% in April to 2.06 Million Tons

Ukrainian grain exports declined 24 percent last month, agriculture researcher UkrAgroConsult said.

Exports fell to 2.06 million metric tons in April from 2.7 million tons a month earlier, the Kiev-based researcher said today by e-mail, citing preliminary data.

Corn exports declined to 1.43 million tons from 1.9 million tons in March and exports of wheat dropped to 494,500 tons from 570,000 tons over the same period, according to the company.

Since July 1, outbound shipments from Ukraine reached 10.45 million tons of corn, 4.3 million tons of wheat and 2.09 million tons of barley, the researcher said.
