Italy’s Gasoline Demand Slumps 16% in April, Ministry Data Show

Italy’s gasoline consumption dropped 16.1 percent in April to 675,000 metric tons from 805,000 tons a year earlier, according to data from the Ministry of Economic Development.

Diesel demand fell to 1.86 million tons last month, down 14.3 percent from the previous year, the data showed.

The country’s total fuel demand declined 14.1 percent in April to 5.12 million tons from 5.96 million tons in the same month a year earlier.
