CTC Media’s Moscow Audience Falls in Week to May 13, TNS Says

CTC Media Inc. (CTCM:US)’s average daily share of viewers in Moscow aged 18-years-old and above fell to 5.7 percent in the week to May 13, data compiled by TNS-Global show.

The share of viewers in Moscow for the CTC TV channel, the Nasdaq-listed Russian media company’s biggest source of revenue, fell from 6.4 percent in the week to May 6, data researcher TNS- Global said in an e-mail today. Pervyi Kanal, NTV Television, Rossiya-1, TNT and REN TV all ranked ahead of CTC among Moscow viewers, TNS-Global data show.

The average daily audience among viewers four-years-old and over in Moscow for CTC fell to 6.3 percent in the week to May 13 from 7.3 percent in the previous week, knocking it down one level in the audience rankings, the data show. CTC came out sixth in this category of viewers in the week to May 13, while Pervyi Kanal, NTV Television, Rossiya-1, TNT and REN TV all ranked ahead of CTC, TNS-Global said.
