Two people were jailed by a Moscow court for trying to sell a lawmaker’s position for 10 million euros ($13 million), RIA Novosti reported, citing the Interior Ministry.
The attempted fraud was foiled with the help of the Federal Security Service, or FSB, the main successor agency to the Soviet-era KGB, ministry spokesman Valery Gribakin was cited as saying by the Russian news service.
