Estonia Appoints Head of Coalition Partner as Defense Minister

Estonian President Toomas Ilves appointed Urmas Reinsalu, the head of junior government partner Isamaa ja Res Publica Liit, as defense minister.

Reinsalu, 36, will replace Mart Laar, who resigned earlier this month citing health reasons, according to a statement today on the president’s website.
