The Czech Republic’s PX (PX) stock index slid 0.2 percent to 909.7 at its close in Prague, extending its retreat this week to 1 percent.

Erste Group Bank AG (EBS) of Austria fell 1.3 percent to 407.1 koruna, taking weekly losses to 3 percent, the biggest since the five days ended April 6. Lenders led global stocks lower after JPMorgan Chase & Co. reported a $2 billion trading loss and China’s industrial output unexpectedly slowed.
New World Resources Plc (NWR) dropped 0.8 percent to 118 koruna, ending the week down 3.3 percent. The country’s biggest producer of coking coal reached the lowest in almost three years two days ago. Europe’s benchmark coal futures contracts dropped 0.8 percent to $105.4 a metric ton in the Netherlands.
