Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index (XU100) rose for the first time in five days, adding 1.3 percent to 58,820.76 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Istanbul, the biggest jump since March 30.
The following shares were active. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Tekfen Holding AS (TKFEN) , a Turkish builder, climbed 3.9 percent to 6.38 liras, its highest level since April 30, after saying first-quarter profit increased 21 percent to 92.4 million liras ($52 million), exceeding estimates.
Turk Hava Yollari (THYAO) , the national carrier known as Turkish Airlines, added 1.9 percent to 2.75 liras after reporting passenger numbers increased 19 percent to 11.1 million in the first four months from a year earlier.
